Description

Vintage Westinghouse Clear Glass Refrigerator Dish Dish comes with fin-shaped, domed lid. The lid can also slot into the dish upside down to reduce the space needed to store the dish. Both the dish and the lid have the Westinghouse 'W' logo. The dish is also marked with '17' near the logo. We did not find a number mark on the lid. Dishes like these were typically given away or included with new Westinghouse refrigerators from the 1930's to 1970's. We do not know the date of this dish , but our best guess is the 1950's or 1960's. Capacity of dish: 8.25" L x 4.75" W x 3.25" H Size of dish: 9" L x 5.25" W x 3.5" H The refrigerator dish is in very good condition. We did notice two small chips along the left edge and one small chip along the right edge (see photos #2 & #3). One small scratch to the right of 'W' logo on the bottom of the dish (see photos #3 & #10). On the front side (nearest long side with logo facing right side up), there are two marks and three scratches near the bottom (see photos #5 & #11). The lid has no chips, but we did notice some very small marks and scratches upon close inspection. Please closely review the photos for condition. From what we've managed to find about this dish, it is for cold leftovers or storage. It is NOT oven safe and thus not bakeware. We would also NOT recommend putting it in the dishwasher either.
